How long does a CORI/Backgroung Check usually take?
Kaydee Asked: How long does a CORI/Backgroung Check usually take?
I went for a job interview at a State Hospital to work as a mental health counselor. They told me it can take weeks to get that and my references done. They called my references the next day, which were good. This was June 8th. How long does it take to get a CORI/Background check? Could there be anything on my record that I dont know about (I didnt do anything bad)

No hun, I don't have any mental illness.
Though, in my opinion, depression could be considered a mental illness. In that case, count me in.In fact, just for the sake of it, count every teenager on the planet in.Everyone's suffered from an achy breaky heart
Lots of love,
i dont have a mental illness, but i have friends that do and i think its a real problem. ecspecially depression, most people think its just a phase that teens go through, or hormones or teen drama, but actually my friend that has severe depression almost killed herself and i worry about her all the time
Yes, I have multiple mental illnesses. I think mental illnesses are curable and affect almost everyone in one way or another.

Depression is a big one for me.It started when I was 11, but progressively has gotten worse lately.I'm 17 now and struggling pretty hard at the moment.I never turned to anti-depressants, even though I have the urge to.Once I became depressed, not many people wanted to be around me.I blamed myself for that, and developed severe anxiety issues because I didn't feel accepted.I no longer feel good enough, I don't feel like anyone will accept me, and I know I'm not the only one out here like this.I think depression is very consuming and overpowering. It can ruin your social life, and I'll tell you this straight from honest experience. It's very tough for us teenagers since we deal with a lot of additional stress to begin with.It takes a lot of self control and hope to pull yourself out of depression, and I'm hoping to do just that.
I hope this helps!
Yes, I have been diagnosed with major depression and anxiety.
I think that anyone can beat and overcome any addiction, mental illness and the stigma that is brought with it – if they really try. You need to be dedicated to your recovery and let nothing stop that.

I'm 17, and yes.
Mental illness is really common in my family, and I took a huge beating in the genetic lottery when it came to mental health.I have depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and anorexia nervosa.
What do I think about mental illness?Well, it sucks.People who don't have to deal with them sometimes believe that mental illness isn't as serious because it usually doesn't cause physical symptoms…but in many cases, not only can it be more painful, but also deadlier. We need to devote more time to finding treatments and educating others, especially since there's still a nasty stigma against the mentally ill (that we're dangerous and crazy, that it's our fault, etc).
